Just a Couple of Motherhood’s Lessons
Dear Reader, I wanted to share some things motherhood has taught me.
You’re not in charge - a higher being and the stron will you passed on is.
Pick the battles - not everything is worth getting mad over
Your house was never meant to be perfectly clean at all times…
…Neither was your car
You’ve never experienced love like this
You thought you knew what it means to work hard but you had no freaking idea
Don’t get so caught up over gender reveals, baby shower, etc. because all of this will be a distant memory when the real life starts.
You know in your heart of hearts what is right for your family right now. It may not be what’s right in 5 years so be willing to change and re-evaluate. As long as you are certain you’re doing what is right for you and your family right now, then the debate over SAHM vs. working mom, daycare vs. in-home, homeschool vs. public, etc. are moot. Do what’s right for your kids.
You will never know emotional exhaustion until you have a pre-teen.
Welcome to the world of: I don’t care which side you’re on as long as you’re doing what’s best for your family, your children and their future adult-selves. Now, I DONT mean what is EASIEST, no, what is BEST.
Breast milk or formula? Don’t care.
Working mom or stay at home mom? Don’t care.
Doing what’s best for your kids? That’s all I care about
