I forget how small you actually are
when everything else about you is so big.
I forget you’re my little baby
I wish I could remember more, with your big attitude, your big energy.
But then there are those moments you squeeze in next to me on the couch,
your tiny body fitting in this little space, and you rest your head on me.

Your fear, oh your fear. It’s big like you.
How scared you are of thunderstorms, you literally get sick.
I get so scared for you whenever I see a storm in the forecast
God how I wish I could take it all away from you,
let me feel afraid and let you feel complete bliss
